This week the Scriptures that stood out to my children were the "Let him go home" instructions for men going to war. I came across this music video weeks ago and thought it was the exact portrayal of disobedience to this loving command of YHVH. Boy, did it breathe life into the reason for the Father's directions! Who can say this commandment no longer applies? I only pray our military would return to Yah's word as well as us all. Also, I have a homeschool coloring page we made this morning. Hopefully, I'll be able to post more, if time permits!
So here is the link to the coloring page, with the Scripture from Deuteronomy 20:7: "Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may marry her."
My son was very interested this time around with the Torah portion asking about these instructions for soldiers, where the girls were all about the bridal aspect. I have found that the Charlotte Mason point of intrigue idea works and I have seen the high retention level of the Scriptures from this principle. May it bless you too!
