Praise Yahweh for creating the seas and the seashore! It is a place full of mystery and wonder. Some of my happiest memories as a child are of the very beach where I now walk with my own children, but the great thing is that now my Creator is at the center of the happiness and I know He built it all and built me to stand amazed and in wonderment of it all.
In preparation for this week's Torah portion, Vezot haBracha, the Scripture from Devarim (Deuteronomy) 33:19 stood out to me: "They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer sacrifices of righteousness; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand."
