Here is a mom that has a heart like mine. This is a resource your preschoolers will love! Her idea is to learn the Torah portions through tactile experiences which help ingrain the truths of the Scriptures into the minds of those participating in the activities.
This is a fantastic Torah website for children! My idea was to get some puppets (eventually) and make these stories into puppet shows for my kids. You can get as elaborate or simple as you want with these stories. Besides the stories, there are also activity pages after the stories that you can print and have the children color. I love to decorate the table with their coloring projects. My next project is crafting placemats where you can slide their latest Torah portion masterpiece in it for that week's Shabbat! Cool, huh?
Depending on how old your children are, I have found these coloring pages on the Chabad site very helpful. My toddler colors these pages while the other kids are doing their upper level schoolwork. When my eldest children were that age and doing preschool level work, we'd use these to make collages for each week.
You can access these coloring pages at www.chabad.org
On the left side bar, scroll down to Kids then click on Parsha then find the Torah portion you are looking for and click on it. It will pull up a song, a summary of the weekly portion, and the related coloring pages. I hope you enjoy them!
