So anyway, I am in a major transformation process with YHVH which includes getting a makeover on my wardrobe! I am totally enjoying the process of becoming both stylish and modest at the same time.
My personal story? I came from the world. I was heavily involved in pageants and dance competitions where I learned to show off my body to a shameful extent. Swimsuit competitions, revealing clothing...the positive feedback came pouring in with all these worldly ways. I figured many of us are probably in the same boat to varying degrees (I mean, my old friends included a Pussycat doll, a Miss America as well as Miss USA state titleholders, several actresses, and the list continues). Trying to glean something from my former days, I still feel it is important for each one of us to know we are beautiful, be confident with the way we are created, and still be transformational in this world, but NOW for YHVH's glory. Some women disagree, but that is personally what I've gathered from my own experience. I am now trying to please our heavenly Father with modesty while still being able to let my femininity shine the beauty I possess inside and out.
So what is a girl to do? Shop! Ha...I went window shopping to create what some refer to as an inspiration board. Hope it helps inspire you as well. Even if you and I have different styles or taste on color, go online and find colors/patterns/designs that highlight you!
The most important thing is to love yourself. Your Heavenly Father created you and He made a masterpiece! So in the spirit of Sarah, Rebekah, Esther, and Rachel, let us too be enlisted in the ranks of the Biblically beautiful women who not only turned heads, but captivated the world.
This first skirt I thought had a flattering style plus was made out of denim, so it could be paired with any color or shape top you love! I thought this piece really made a statement.
To order it or get a closer look to make your own, click here: Denim Ruffle Skirt
Here it is again (made by the same seller) in linen: Linen Ruffle Skirt
They are selling for $65 plus shipping, but you may be able to hit the fabric stores and sew your own instead!
It is priced at $80. Could be used for a more formal occasion with a dressy silk top. The possibilities are endless!
Next, to give you another look to consider, this skirt has more of a casual, sophisticated feel. You could hide a lot in those pockets, right? lol
Here's the link: Casual Gray Skirt
This skirt is listed at $60. Remember, this is an inspiration board so check out style, silhouette, color, and contrast to create your own look! I'd pair it with a similar type top to what is pictured. Maybe with a catchy tOrAhTrEnDy Scriptural concept on it? You decide!
Now, I really like the versatility of this skirt. You could glam it up or dress it down. This skirt has a fluidity to it that gives a little bit of extra grace. If you are not into chiffon, you may be able to find another fluid fabric that could work in its place.
This skirt is listed at $48. If you want to see more about it, just click: Double Chiffon Skirt
Moving on, this particular seller I am happy to promote. She has so many cute skirts, I can't list them all! A lot of her designs take the flair of the 1950s and infuse it into our generation. Again, the skirts are listed for $60, but check out her many items as there are tons to catch your eye: Green Plaid Skirt
She uses both cotton and linen!
This skirt is yet another design by the same seller, xiaolizi, but this an alternative style to try in a long skirt. Just a tip: If you have the time (I did while stranded in the hospital for a week), just type "long skirt" into Etsy's search engine and shop through the results. But here is the direct link for this skirt that has both class and style: Wrap Skirt
And continuing on, this skirt reminds me of Queen Esther and the regal nature of her position. (Yes, I know it is not Persian, but Indian in fact, but just go with me here. lol) This skirt comes in a variety of colors, and could easily be dressed up or down, depending on your occasion.

I hope this post helps you in your walk, as my heart is to encourage you to be the fullness of the Father's desire for you!
